Shallow subs

I'm trying to figure out which kind of speakers to buy. In people's opinions, do shallow subs sound good? I like the deep loud bang. Do those do that? Thanks to the ones that give there opinions.

Do you need shallow mounts? What car or truck are you driving? I wouldn't get shallow mounts unless I HAD to have them. Otherwise there's no point.

Exactly what does dad said. Unless you're tight on space, I'd go with non-shallow
