01 civic max speaker depth 6.5 6x9

I'm putting a stereo in my 01 civic LX and I'm wonwdering what the max speaker depth for 6.5's and 6x9's. On cruchfield it says shallow mount 6.5's and a not very dep 6x9. How do you get around this? Build a spacer or something to elevate the speaker? anyways I'm a noob at this so any hints are appreciated. I was looking at putting JBL power speakers in but then again I don't know speakers

You can get a deeper mounting speaker in your door by taking a dremel to plastic pieces on the inside of your plastic door panel. If you pop off your door panel and look at the part that sits in front of the speaker, you'll see what I'm talking about. That and some mdf rings will let ya fit some speakers with decent mounting depths on em. As for the rear 6x9's, idk. You should be able to measure it from inside the trunk/hatch.
