i have a GTi.

its a 2003, and i found a nice little gromett that pops out above the gas pedal and to the right. maybe about 6 inches up or so.

thats a picture i just had on my computer. you can see it comes from futher right than the gas pedal. ill get a better shot if you dont find it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

and my wire 0awg just fit through with no modifications.

what year? and i ran mine through a grommet that was just plugging a hole in the firewall.
