what is the advantage of having ports on the back of the box... I thought that was a big no-no

Its better than internal. Look at it this way. If you have an internal aero then you have a lot of dead space around the port opening that air can sit untill it is pushed out. If your port drops down from the top 12" then 11.9" down is all area that air can sit. With external, all of your air is forced through those ports because they are flush inside. does that make sense ?

yes, 152 is a good score for that power. i am running a lot more power than what is allowed in that class. when i ran usaci i ran the 1800 watt pro class w/ 2 40.1s. i am running 4 40.1s now.

yes...considering you have to use and amp rated under 600wrms @ 4ohm at 14.4v with only 1 extra batt...no modifications and has to be under window line and back seats have to be able to fold up and i believe you have to have stock alt as well...and a few other rules....but basically everything has to be able to be put in stock config...and then for 0-600 pro stock you can use two batts in the rear...iirc

so basically it's a competition to find an amp that will wire down the lowest and still rated at 600wrms@4ohm. like the d5 he is using or a cactus pf600, treo 4.1, couple of the mmats amps and db drive pd2000s are popular in this class...i think the record is a crx with 7-9 l7s on a cactus pf600 that hit 160+ in 08 i think

Not even close to what I need it to be. I am just starting this build and built a box that could be moved around easily. It was my first box and I have minimal time into testing (probably about 15 burps total). By the end of the season I hope to be much closer to, if not @ 160db on burps.

My truck was 10db down from putting the meter on the windshield. 151 Outlaw gave me 141 sealed. The rex wont have as much of a loss.
