Featured Newbie Seeking Help with Audio Configuration

Its 3am and take a wild guess what I am doing lol... I had to take care of adulting earlier and finally have some quiet time to go in the garage and do the final steps as you advised - only thing I may have to drive down the road to test (although my exhaust already kills the neighbors lol) HO HO HO Merry Christmas! As per above message - to confirm I am ripping the RCA's out of the PRV and direct to MONO AMP 🎅

Must be nice mr texas
I bet you were out there in a tshirt too
Here in toronto I need to wait till may before I can start re arranging my gear
LOL I already know bro! I moved here from the 6IX 5 years ago!! (Oakville) and yes last couple days been rocking shorts. I actually got to into the festivities (I.E Ethanol induced Festivities) and did not continue last night in case I blew up my car. So let me get to it shortly - I still have a CAD # if you want to jump on a whatsapp call to go over exactly what you were saying needs to be further discussed! 647 986 8884. Thanks again :)

Wow that's funny what are the odds
I bet most the cars there are rust free

I don't use wazzaaaauuupp or social media
I'll keep your number on hand just in case.... also just in case I need me a rust free late 80's s10 😬

LOLLL that's for sure! I picked up this car back then in Indiana was nice to see cars without RUST! (I also noticed just recently that you were also from somewhere in Canadia) Thanks again for baby stepping me thru my "delinquent" drama!!

so I attempted again with the stupid multi meter I have and either it is a shitty one and I have to buy another one but the numbers were just jumping around

Lol if the numbers were jumping around on the multimeter it's usually an indication the woofer is shot
Clippity clippers
Hold on. We forgot to mention that when measuring a sub's resistance, you must face plant it or put an object atop the cone to keep it from moving. Sound causes cone movement which causes a small current in the voice coil. That is what is making your numbers jump around.

Oh I see i will check that again just to rule it out, I mean I am going with the kicker for now, hopefully sounds decent! Thank you for the note!

@supernov4 Hey Boss! I'm still here didn't fall off the bandwagon - SO... I adjusted everything ready to wire the SUB etc. Encountered a kicker with the bloody kicker ughhhhh didn't even think about this before, so now we have several issues LOL to say the least! I can remove the floor board maybe however everything would be exposed battery wires terminals etc and it might squeeze in?? What do you think?!! (*note the fire extinguisher which I now keep in the car since the delinquent installer messed up so many wires and god knows what else!) SIDE NOTE - when I fade the speakers front to rear from the head unit front fade hits the factory tweeters in the dash just under the windshield and not the actual MID's - So again not sure what was delinquently done here but doesn't seem right... anyways seems like we have bigger issues unless I revert back to the Sundown and return the Kicker lol. First world problems at their finest right here :)

Wait you can't get the kicker in your trunk? 🤣

I mean you can try the sundown and hope the coil wasn't over heated and bubbled
Hopefully there was just an error when you measured it with multimeter

Just be sure to have amp gain down
Slowly raise the lc2 sub level keep eye on maximize light that's your distortion / clip light in most cases very slight blinking may be ok but if you can avoid that even better

If you feel like ur not getting 800 watts
Then move to the amp gain keep an eye on amp clip light when you slowly raise amp gain you might be able to squeeze few more watts

As for the fading front and back with mids
When you fade to front your stock tweeters should play
If you fade to back and your new mids come in that means they probably tapped your rear speakers for the lc2
If that's the case I'm not sure your rear speakers wires have the sub bass you would need for the 12
Bit hard for me to say forsure

I just know in most cases the front speakers typically have more bass but it could be different with various cars

There's more than one of the "community" interested bro, I'm glad you're excited and all. Did the amp loading advice help a bit?
Hey! I will update you soon as I manage to shove this kicker in somehow! lol attempting as we speak removing some panels I just need a lil more space, the trunk opening is super compact.

Sub is in fired everything up and I have no idea what’s going on, my factory subs sound better! There is some issue with the settings and everyone has a different theory going on here lol. It’s running but like just you can hardly hear it. I am so frustrated it shouldn’t be this complicated 😂
