SoloX-15 6th blowthru

No pics of the rear wall, he's still needing to add a little bracing back there as it flexes a little over an inch where the double wall is.
The video is .5 power on a Jp63. I think he's going to put a terminal in there so it'll be 2ohm daily and .5 when he wants to tax those subs.
He wanted wind so I designed the enclosure accordingly. It's nasty down low.
That's really fantastic! I feel like I need to turn up the gains now! I didn't realize you could add a terminal like that to switch back and forth.

Cranking up the gains is never a solution, unless clip city and blown coils are the goal.

Do you have a pic of your setup?

As to impedances a location with 2 terminals allowing parallel or series is the easy way to switch impedance. Beyond that requires thinking. I think he wants a master rocker switch or something and he's fully capable of doing so.

I'm waiting to hear it on only 2ohm power as its a big efficient enclosure. I wouldn't supply a design to the guy on the street like this one. This is designed to push the limits and he's OG with systems so I trust him to know the limits of his gear.

I'm thinking it'll still be windy but around 150 within the bandwidth on 2ohm power.

I do have some but I don't want to hi-jack your thread. I'll start one soon and will let you know. I do appreciate any help. Love his setup and your fly on the wall progress!

I want at least a pic... comon'
No hijackin' caused... this build is on pause due to free time for a bit.

For general knowledge the enclosure is designed for around 2X rms no matter his actual power. Max efficiency and tuned to dig. I think its close to the limits for those poor solox15's. On his power a set of 4" coiled monsters is where most would go but I designed something I would have run. I came up in the low power/hi efficiency days.

My 1st 150 was with 4 RF Punch 12's on 100hc watts in an accidental spl bandpass in a Mazda 626 coupe. Big electrical for back then with a 175A Mechman bought C.O.D. would you believe it?

Trunkwalled with a 1.5" parcel shelf & 3/8" under the headliner. Don't ask... lol.

I am just the guy who did the "box design", knowing him it'll be beautiful and LOUD when done.

I had some really talented people build this for me. This was a culmination of a childhood dream. I just feel like I should be able to get more out of it. But, I'm probably wrong. I'm relearning everything again.

What size subs... 15s or 12s? It looks like a 4th I think. Hard to be certain from the pics. I see "Warhorse" engraved into the acrylic.
Nice clean work for sure man. Expectations are hard to meet sometimes.

When you say more can you elaborate?
Lows, beats or just overall?

It is a 4th. They are 15's powered by 4 Kicker Warhorse 3600.s They did a really good job. I'm upgrading to lithium so that should help. It may just be my expectations. I feel like it would have been a little louder. It's loud, but not as windy at the windows like your video.

I just modeled up a 4th that I'd use for your 4 15s on your power if I had the money, space and inclination. I must say I would be smiling but don't really have a vehicle in mind even if I wanted to.
11ft3 sealed/16.5ft3 vented /w/ about 290in2 of port tuned to sealed side resonance (45.71hz). It would be one big chunk of bass and I'm having trouble envisioning it... lol

How do you determine tuning (And I really don't want to hijack) of a box when you initially work it out? It there an hz goal or do the dimensions end up determining most of it? I have no idea what mine is tuned to, I'll probably ask now.

I try to get a 43-48hz resonance sealed side depending on goals & that coupled with the sealed/vented ratio determines how it'll peak in vehicle. Some subs are pretty much incompatible with a 4th imo and ebp is a good way to tell. If you have to make the sealed side 5ft3 for a 10" sub to get to 48hz you probably have a hi-ebp sub.

Those SoloX's model-up nice in a 4th, but for my tastes it would be have to be an extremely large blowthru. Heck the vent into the cabin would need be like 9.5" x 30.5" port area for the enclosure I typed about in my last post.

Those are big box subs and take big power, but should give some big results.

This is a photo 1 of 2 SoloX Kicker coils after 6 songs hard clipped with a JP63 wired .5 nominal on strong electrical. I did warn him 4" coils minimum would be better suited to his abuse as he's all knobs to the right when he gets that bug. But Kicker guys nuthug hard... no shade thrown btw... it is what it is and his bux.

The user was stuck in a freeway backup and sent it hard while ignoring the smells, "oh well" he said because he wants to redo it and get some of his bed back. he metered almost 155db with this thing at one point before he slagged the coils... lol. 154.7db I hear.

SoloX-12's next... less bed used and some output lost but it should be 152ish with 2-12's, Imo thats not bad #'s. So... another Bp6 is going to be built soon.
