Hello. I have an Opel insignia sport tourer 2011. I plan to buy:
Radio- Alpine iLX-F905D
Subwoofer- Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-12 Actief
Reversing camera- Alpine HCE-C1100

I read that I need some adapters etc. Can you help me and send me what I need to make it work? What frame do I need to buy? If it's important, I currently have a DVD 800 NAVI radio.
I would be very grateful for any help ☺️ Best regards

Upgrading the audio system in your 2011 Opel Insignia Sport Tourer with the Alpine iLX-F905D head unit, Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-12 subwoofer, and Alpine HCE-C1100 reversing camera is a great choice! Here are the key components and adapters you’ll need to ensure a successful installation:

1. Dash Kit

To fit the Alpine iLX-F905D (a double DIN unit) into your Opel Insignia, you need a compatible dash kit.

2. Wiring Harness

You’ll need a wiring harness to connect the Alpine radio to the vehicle’s wiring harness without cutting any wires.

3. Antenna Adapter

When replacing the factory radio, you’ll also need an antenna adapter to connect the vehicle's antenna to the new head unit.

4. Steering Wheel Control Interface

If your Insignia has steering wheel controls, you’ll want a steering wheel control interface to retain those features.

5. Reversing Camera Interface

For the Alpine HCE-C1100 reversing camera, ensure you have the necessary connections.

6. Subwoofer Installation Kit

To install the Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-12, you’ll require a subwoofer installation kit.

7. Additional Cables and Accessories

  • RCA Cables: For connecting the subwoofer to the head unit.
  • Speaker Wire: If you need to extend or replace existing speaker wires.
  • Fuse Holder: For protecting the electrical system, paired with the power wiring.

Summary of Requirements

Dash Kit: Metra 95-7326
Wiring Harness: Axxess GMOS-01 or Metra 70-2113
Antenna Adapter: ISO to Motorola Antenna Adapter
Steering Wheel Control Interface: Axxess ASWC-1
Reversing Camera: Ensure you have an RCA cable for the Alpine HCE-C1100
Subwoofer Wiring Kit: Typically a Rockford Fosgate wiring kit
RCA Cables: For subwoofer connection
Power and Ground Wire: Appropriate gauge wire (look for a 4-gauge wiring kit)
Fuse Holder: To protect your electrical system

Installation Tips

  1. Read Manuals: Review the user manuals for the Alpine iLX-F905D and the reversing camera for specific instructions.
  2. Disconnect Battery: Always disconnect the car battery before starting work to avoid short circuits.
  3. Test Connections: After installation, before reassembling the dash, test to ensure all functions work correctly, including the camera and subwoofer.
  4. Consider Professional Installation: If you're unsure about any step, consult with or hire a professional installer, especially for the wiring connections.
This setup should provide you with a fantastic audio experience in your Insignia Sport Tourer. Enjoy your upgrade!

I saw one guy on video doing a setup. Though it was on a single din, he mentioned an Alpine radio needing a dvd in dash receiver parking brake bypass. You cannot just ground the green or whatever color it is on the alpine to the chassis of the radio, like they do on an Kenwood. And you have to start the car ignition first, then hook up the parking break bypass to the ground. This would be on Alpine radios with DVD and receivers to it. So you start the car first, then hook it up on the back. I'm not sure why, but that's the correct procedures to do a bypass on Alpine radios.
