Setting dials on Amp alongside LCi2

Start at the top and work downstream. HU, LCi, Amp. The idea is to get as much out of each without clipping the signal. In some cases, if it is plenty loud prior to reaching that point, leave it be. I have 200 waits x 2 channels left over for my rear tweeters, the gains on that channel are set very low at the amp level. I set the HU very conservatively so that if turned all the way up, not clipping.
The LCi is an active LOC, it will give your amp enough to go on so make sure that the signal it gets is clean and adjust away!

So to confirm:
Gain on amp all the way down.
Turn LC2i BOTH main/bass knobs until I hit light, then back off a bit. (edit - it seems I only need to turn one knob, which is the bass knob. Is this correct)
THEN I set gain on amp to reach my desired 44v level??
Scratching that. My amp will be JL JD1000.1, which has speaker level input. Should I just dump the LC2i all together and avoid the headache? Seems unnecessary if the JD1000.1 has speaker level inputs. I would just turn the high voltage input switch on.

That depends. Are you confident that the HU is full range, do you need the Acubass? That LCi2 (non-pro version) has a fixed HP (subor infrasonce) filter at 33hz. If you're planning to tune the subat below 35hz, then I would not use the non--pro LCi2. The pro versions fixed filter is fixed at 24 or 22 hz?
Why all the money on that JL? It's not one of their better models, doesn;t have a subsonic filter so depending on your subs tuning, the AC unit would be beneficial.
Korean designed amp options that have better controls and higher output, just to name a few are:

Ok wait back to the setting the dials. I listened for any drop off, couldn't identify any in my listening range (up to 75%). But IF I keep the LC2i, was I correct earlier?

You mentioned subsonic filter.
I see the LC2i has a frequency response starting at 33hz. Would this be effectively setting the subsonic filter and not letting anything below 33hz reach my subs?
If not, I'm seeing there are RCA active filters. What is your experience with these?
The LC2i has an internal 33 hz fixed subsonic filter, no need for anything else if you use that LOC. The LC2i Pro is around 22-24hz.
Snag this one while you can!
Might want to ask if all the hardware comes with, otherwise, two of these may be needed:

Perfect! Already have the LC2i. Was in my last system as well.
Is the 33hz good enough? My biggest thing is delivering clean sound while maintaining speaker safety. Safety is first for me!
