Box is built. I'm not 100% sure of the specs yet, but I think it's around 2 cubes net tuned to 33 hz.

I gave him the dimensions and we put it together at his shop. 2.39 cubes gross. After subs and port displacement, it's right at 1.7 cubes. It's carpeted now. I painted the inside of the port black. Install tomorrow. He did a lot of it because I gave him two banks of lithium in trade for the box.

Rear quarters done and working. Sub amp installed. Just waiting to put the sub box in before making the final connections.

Sub box done and installed. These subs are pretty nasty for 8's. I still need to build the front kick panels to finish the build. We might add another bank of lithium to help the voltage.

It took me a long time to trust Rockford Fosgate again after they started putting out that garbage in the early 2000's.

They had Series 1 around 1990 or so which was an entry level line and was total garbage. I think they've had a trash line ever since but I can't recall a time when their top line was ever bad.

Couldn't you find something to better match the OEM door material? That would look really clean if you could get your hands on matching cloth.

I probably could have, but it was Saturday and I didn't want to drive all over town looking. It's not an OEM interior. At least it's thin black carpet. Not perfect, but doesn't look too bad. The first spacer rings that I've ever made. They look alright installed.

We metered the two 8's in the Bug today. We got them up to 142.9 @32 hz. Outlaw and about 142.5 sealed from the kick.

Shame you didn't also meter at the dash too. I'd be very interested to see how different the old Bug meters high and low. It's such an oddball vehicle.
