I don't, the police are allowed to use tasers and tear gas without even requiring escalation, making it hypocritical that they consider it worthy of lethal force when they themselves don't consider it to be, both by law and by the fact that they shoot teargas into crowds like they're giving away T-shirts.
It's not me saying that they can't be used in a lethal way, people have died from rubber bullets and water canons as well, even tear gas and tasers. The point is they want it both ways whenever it's convenient for them to justify murdering someone or to justify using excessive but "non-lethal" force on peaceful protestors.
