First, there was only three races of cops involved, not four. Second, if cops are required to carry malpractice insurance, then, they will want to be paid more. And lastly, removing qualified immunity will result in a lot of full felony stops and cops killed.

You can also see a by-passer telling Chauvin he is killing him and he ignored that as well. He was told 3 times by a rookie he was supposedly training and a civilian with 0 formal training.

if anything we need more funding and changes to policy to keep them accountable. As in an unbiased dispatch center that can actively monitor and review mandatory body cam and microphones, that keep officers accountable and has the authority to call off or relieve the officer through mandatory ear pieces. If the officer turns off any of these before responding to a situation or if they cause offense, they get suspension with no pay and a mark on their record that last 3 years, the next offense is immediate termination. This monitoring department needs to be separate from the police department to prevent cover ups.

I agree that more independent monitoring should be done. Majority of cops are good so it will really only weed out the ones who shouldn’t wear the uniform. And I seriously think more needs to go into therapy as I’m sure they have PTSD to some extent. My buddy is a cop and has told me the things he’s seen and I couldn’t handle it. And I know he’s a good cop. He was arresting someone for a parole violation and things got physical. The guy reached for his gun multiple times and didn’t succeed and my buddy never once pulled out a gun/taser/stick. He was able to use his fight training and cuff the guy. Body cam shows everything he did. It’s those kind of cops we need.

I will add he is no longer a beat cop and is a detective. He’s even told me of the things some get away with that he disagrees with

If less people committed crimes, there would be less need for cops therefore, less funding required for police departments.
