i got the kicker L5 (the loaded box with a port that sells in circuit city) powered by a rf p8002, my question is wut freq. should i set my amp to get the best bass. i have the sub wired to one channel only cuz before i bridged it and blew the sub

also should i stay ported or go sealed?

Stay ported, Freq is up to you. How it sounds good to you is where you will set it. Try 80hz and work around that.

But as far as that it depends on your preference... If you want better SQ (tighter punchier bass, flatter frequecy responce) go sealed. I'm not sure what the box you have is tuned to, but generally if you want to get louder you would wanna go ported. With a ported enclosure there is a more peaky frequency response and muddier bass, but they are generally louder.

im not sure about the freq

but if u switch between ported/sealed theres a diff in sound, usually ported tends 2 b louder for SPL while sealed makes it more tight sounding for SQ, but thas jus a generalization, if u build a proper ported box u can have both SQ and SPL by tuning it properly at the correct Hz rating like 28hz or 32hz

ported is louder there would be no point to it if it wasnt....
