WTF-This guy is done

don't worry, what happend to the dixie chicks will happen to him. sales will plummet
I dont see a dixie chicks situation happening here. The dixie chicks appealed to an entirely different community than a rapper does. Violence against police, violence against women, violence against each other... that is what appeals to his fans. If anything, I bet the publicity will help his career, no matter how offensive he is.

i really hope not but see your point.

he appoligized because he realized he is an idiot? doesnt want negative vibe to ruin his reputation, He probably got allot of shit from people close to him.
in other words, this guy is still and idiot for not thinking of consequences and taking them seriously until the dark cloud looms over his stupid ass.
Guy is a genius since I expect he is totally irrelevent, his music ***** ,and he has little talent; and he just got a huge wave of free publicity... You would have to spend billions to get your name out nationwide in advertizing, or just say something ignorant and inflamatory.

That being said. If our military is "fighting for our freedom" they are losing the battle. Who here feels more free than they were 10 years ago? About the only thing more free is the Afghani farmers who are free to grow their poppies and TSA agents who are free to grope and molest travelers. Must be some kind of coincidence that every time we throw a war in the golden triangle the cost of a bag of heroine comes down to about the price of a pack of marlboros *cough* American Gangster *cough*

That being said I have many family members and friends that are former and active service men and I'm confident they all had good motives for joining up and doing what they do. Disrespecting the men on the ground is completely misdirected when our foreign policy is likely being decided by multinational banking cartels and not even ultimately the politicians that they own, much less the service men and women (not like even generals can start wars or decide to pack up and go home). Point is if you're an 80 IQ ignoramus "entertainer" you should keep your ******* mouth shut about politics.

Why do you keep attacking me, Moble? I already explained to you that I wasn't trying to attack you in any way. And I was defending the rights you fight to keep intact. You know, the first one... The freedom of speech? I know I won't understand what it's like to be a war veteran, and that's completely irrelevant.

You're mad because he made a comment that offends you. It really amazes me how people care about the laws and rights Americans have only when it goes along with their views. Why do you care what some young rapper says to his following? Did he kill a serviceman? Did he go to a Fort and **** in anyone's water?

The reason I'm defending him and anyone else who gets trashed like this is because of the very things you joined the services for. He can say whatever he wants and you have the "right" to be pissed off about it. Considering you've referred to God, I don't see how you can possibly follow your religion if you have this much hate for some rapper and his words. Aren't Christian religions all about fairness and showing love for your fellow man? I don't think God would be happy if he knew you and all these other people are spending so much time hating and trying to justify that hate.

You're also implying over and over that I'm not credible in this discussions -- that I have issues for defending someone's rights you're so quick to refer to when it has to do with YOUR rights. If you keep insulting me, you'll eventually **** me off and you'll have a real argument on your hands. If you don't want that, I suggest you re-read this post and all of my other ones and hopefully understand how you're being completely unreasonable.

The fact that he said it in a song makes this even more trivial. If he told someone in an interview that he hated Army troops, it'd be different than him trying to find a good song for the 10th anniversary of 9/11. He's not personally trying to spread hate but awareness, similary to what I try to do. War is not a good thing, and being trained for years to think of us as animals in cages, of course you're going to refer to that in almost every post you make. I'll refer to humans as calm and intelligent. Know why? Scientific studies. All of these emotions people think are innate, actually aren't. Most of the negative emotions(anger, jealousy, etc.) are all learned, whether it by a parent, older sibling, peer, or some other environmental factor. ****, another digression.

Noble, I don't hate you and really don't want to get in a huge argument about whose mindset is the right one. You'll always justify your reasoning and I'll never understand why.

if you actually read the apology, there's no way you can tell me he wrote it. his agent, or someone else wrote that, period... so i HIGHLY doubt his statements were due to the "frustration he feels about the war".

being a wounded vet myself, with 3 tours in iraq and 2 in afghanistan, i think i have a lil more knowledge about this subject then most... and the majority of the time, all i see is pure ignorance, when this topic is brought up. not goin to point fingers at who, or any of that, just sayin...

There was a saying that says "Liberty is the possibility of doubting, of making a mistake,... of searching and experimenting,... of saying No to any authority - literary, artistic, philosophical, religious, social, and even political." To this, is the reason why you argue. you know you can but feel you are not allowed to, thus giving you the reason to feel right about what you say, in which case, you are. We all are. It's opinion against truth. The confusion of your reasoning makes my attempt to explain much more difficult. I do care what is said about my purpose to be free, and I do take it personally. Do I let it consume my emotions so much to not be able to function, or am I going to Photoshop his face with some rude quote explaining the best of how I feel and post it as my avatar? Not at all. This would only justify his reason for what he said, in which it should not be justified. People make mistakes. My question is, if he is sorry for what he said, then doesn't that make it wrong...that he feels it was a mistake? if he felt correct about what he said, regardless of the intention, then an apology would not be given. The right man would sacrifice his career for what is right...if it were. That shows me that it only justifies the intention was meant to be harmful. Because that is what we do in the military is sacrafice for what is right, whether others do not see the reason for it, we continue because we believe we can help. When someone does not respect what we do, we feel as we have failed, and yes taking that personally is what is felt by us. We feel that we have failed in giving you a free life because of the loss of respect. i do not care how crooked the government is. I really do not. That would be like worrying if my boss at my current job sells dope on the side. it has nothing to do with me personally. I still have to follow orders, and in doing so, I feel right about it. Again man, I hate war, I hate that we went over there again, or why they put us in the line of fighting for what? This so called freedom? I get it. We are far from as free as we would like to be, I cannot change that alone. And the fact that our service is used for some pretty grimey **** disgustst me. But again affect nothing about my intentions for being there, as they differ greatly from what is really behind the curtains. So, when someone puts me or my family of servicemen down for what we do, when they do not understand the reasoning is much different in the minds of those who serve vs the actual job itself, it a test of my appreciation for them as well. Again man, not trying to argue or anything, but if you do not get why that upsets us, don't worry about it yourself...you are less involved than I am...think about that one and then ponder why YOU should feel the way you do. Then you might understand why what I am saying is right. I am not saying you shouldn't speak up, in fact, keep it coming if you like. Your free to do that at your own pace. But on that note, do not attempt to stop me from using the same freedom in a much more viable fashion.

God bless you. My orders were for CI and ONI instructions mainly, so I went through a little different situation than you, so I can feel for you being thrown in there no holds barred. Just wanted to say that I appreciate your service also.

To everyone, man I am sorry to bring it up. I just wanted to show everyone what was said and that it was crazy to hear about. I didn't want to start a big controversy about why and if the government is wrong or not. It's not what this thread is about. It was just cause this was crazy to hear and how I felt it was wrong. So, I apologize for saying anything. Ignorance is bliss, I guess they say. I disagree, but ok. I get it. Just having some random thoughts other than work and this place it good to vent, so I thought. Anyhow, this thread can be deleted if it is going to cause a problem with others and their way of seeing that this was not a bad thing. I do not wish to argue. I am a good person, I'm sure some of you would agree. If not, sorry for making you feel otherwise. Anyhow, again sorry for posting this.

and I appreciate yours as well brother... and I know where your coming from. problem is, the majority of Americans can't understand... not to say they don't have the aptitude to understand, but like the old saying goes, "if you haven't been through it, there's NO possible way to understand"
