I'd say look for used on the deck - It's going to make the rest of the system sound like poop. You may as well put pyle subs in... I've experienced on numerous occasions that a cheap HU will often make a system sound worse than the stock one. You will be throwing money away on nice subs if you cheap out on HU.

On the other issue, my female companion is extremely happy with just her sub and nothing done to her speakers, and I must admit it does sound decent. No idea what the stockers are like in a neon though.

what i would do is 2 sa8's cause ur looking at 8s and a mini audiopipe mini 13001 and it is 1000rms @1ohm. right there ur looking at $110 off ebay and $210 for the subs Bstock both shipped dont get much cheaper

Is that amp gonna power the sa 8s well? it seems a little small

That amp would be perfect for a pair of SA-8s which you can get for $90 + shipping here: Re-coned SA8's - Car Audio Classifieds

Then Just some decent comps in the front would be fair. You could pick a pair up for like 60 bucks probably shopping right.

And as everyone else has said, absolutely no on the HU.
