So putting a sytem in my womans 05 neon sxt soon. Any thoughts on this:

4 Re audio REX-8 D4, RE Audio REX8D4 (REX-8D4) 8" Dual 4 ohm Car Subwoofer

1 RE Audio XTX-1500.1, RE Audio XTX-1500.1 (XTX1500.1) Monoblock Class D Amplifier

Wiring kit db Link CK2Z 2 Gauge Amplifier Wiring Kit with ANL Fuse Holder

Deck Boss 755DBI In-Dash Digital Media Receiver with Built-In iPod (I know its boss. its cheap and pretty cool features)

Im going for more street sound to this one. No SPL or anything. Just some nice rolling thump. Any thoughts on it so far?

Oh by the way what should I do for the box? I was thinking 3 cubes tuned to like 36-38 hz

she only listens to bass, no music? i always give my wife component speakers and install good quality head units with time alignment. after i get music sounding great, i move to low end - a single sealed 10" or 12" in the rear corner. but my wife cares more that vocals sound natural than having bass banging.

different strokes for different folks.

Heres the perfect woman's HU..........

go used if your budget is low.

i got an Alpine 9833 in the wife's car (2002 Camry), got it for about $100. She loves the Alpine 12 disc changer i put in as well. We both own hundreds of CD's. neither of us has ipods or portable players. when i rip CD's to mp3 it's 320kbps. but mostly, everything she and i listen to are original CD's. we can hear the difference.

her speakers are older Eclipse point source components. i'm thinking about doing a 2" in the factory dash location, we'll see. I have some 2" vifa drivers on hand i recently picked up to test with. i have an xtant amp for her, and undecided on what sub she'll get. since the kids came along, she hasn't cared about bass as much. proper door installs provide decent bass output anyway.

my wife's cars have had Alpine head units and xtant amps for the last 10 years. i mean, if i'm riding in it, i want to listen to something decent.

then go used and focus on music. you're spending a lot on bass and nothing on music. nice component speakers would make her happy as a clam (which is funny since at some angles women look like clams). //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

haha yeah this is true. She does have some pretty good stocks though. not gonna lie. i have yet to hear stocks that sounded as good as hers. I had the mach audio 1000 in my mustang at first and that was supposedly good stock speakers but her 6 little 5 1/2s sound good for stock. Otherwise I have some kenwoods laying around here i dont use haha
