Wire gauge size help

Hi I have 0 gauge ofc to 3k mono amp, looks like it has 4 gauge speaker outs.. so run 4 gauge to enclosure bolts? then for the sundown sa8's what gauge? 8? Thanks in advance

You don't need that big of wire to your subs. You'd be fine with 12 gauge.

Edit: Found some more info he included with the chart:

"here is my recomendation for a no holds barred SPL or SQ system....bigger wire than this chart calls for will gain you nothing....... however for a non critical application it is ok to go one size smaller----- or two sizes smaller if it is a budget system............to use the chart select the run length or wattage----whichever is greatest-------
Watts/Length of wire

the values are rounded out to the nearest wire size.....if your amp wattage or wire length falls in between use the next larger size wire"

Dag nabbit, I guess I have to rethink using 8 gauge. According to this, I should use 6
