well im lookign to buy a router. I hate cutting the circles with the jigsaw, i think it will be easier to just use a router. and be done, make the hole alot nice n i can do flush mounts etc.. without worrying about my circle looking off alittle.

also im going to be using it to round the edges and for maybe doing plexiglass for a false floor to be mounted flush aswell.

n e way i have $100 from Lowes, plus I know people who work there so i get 10% off n e ways.

I have 2 to choose from

the first is a Skill. it has a fixed base and a plunge base.

it is a Skill so of course isnt the best but its good for the money $99.

and the second choice is a Hitachi fixed base router.

Hitachi has sure made a name for them selves, and is up there at the lines of Dewalt. this one is $124

now to decide is the hard part.. wich would u decide on???

and n e one know where on the internet or store u can find that circle jig planner cut thing ma bob, lmfao. measures holes from like 4"-24"

n e way let me know what u think and maybe tell me what u have so i can get ideas... thanks.

i know u can use a router to cut holes the guy at hd told me i couldnt i was looking for the bit to cut the holes out and i didnt know which one to get that how we got into the conversation

i was using mine the other day on the router table and the bit disappeared i was like holy crap did i just get this with a router bit?!?! i took me like 10 mins to fine it it had come and and fallen back into the body of the router it scared the crap out of me

dude the skil is fair. well it is for me as i need the flush mounting to be precise. the control is just not there as it is with my friend's porter cable which i will be purchasing soon. i'd sell u the skil for 80 shipped with a straight bit (1/4')

the porter cable 2 pack is excellent. i have had lots of time on it and the cutting ability is just top notch. i know that moe lester hast his one as well. its around 120~ at lowes.

Uhh who posted get a linksys, lol i dont even know if he read the article, were talking about boxes not computers haha nice thought!
hahaha. same thing i was thinking.

well just to let every one know i have a linksys router:naughty: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif lol

Not IMHO. The best power tools out there right now are DeWalt, Porter Cable, and delta.
well dewalt is made by Black and Decker.

delta fell down hill

and porter cable is a nice one, but so **** expensive. but there deff nice

hitachi is great cause there reliable and pretty **** good tools, alot of people came in with exchanges from dewalt to hitachi tools back when i worked there

skill is made by bosh so its there lower line shit. usually house hold shit

i usually make boxes every month. so say ill make a max of 10 boxes a year... is this to much for a skill?

and n e one have a link or something ont he one moe has for $120... id buy that in a heart beat.

like i said i wanna use it for circles. maybe some corners (make em rounded) and to do some plexiglass work

I have the bits for it, had em when i purchased the rotozip.

just rotozip didnt work as good as an actual roter will, lol. made my hole from 11" to 13" oblonge (ovalish) cause of the vibrations.
