why rebuild a sub so soon?

sorry bout my noobish question, but somethin i was wondering for a while. with everyone that got a higher end RE or so sub, why do they find themselves rebuilding there subs quite often? It seems like these guys use em on a daily basis. are they just pumping too much power through them, or are they like a motocross bike, in which they have to be rebuilt every so often because of the "extreme" nature of the bike?

its just ive been seeing alot of RE recone/rebuilt threads, and sparked my curiousity, why do you guys have to rebuild subs so often?

are you talking mostly about MT's? cuz if so its because some people will throw 10k on one woofer lol

Well usually the subs people are reconing go through what we would like to call "competition abuse" Basically they throw crazy amounts of watts and beat on them like their is no tommorow.

thats what i kinda figured, but i kinda thought some people just used em daily, giving them normal wattages and still hadda recone them after a few monthes

I would imagine that people blowing them up aren't giving them their nominal wattage.
