why do my FUSE keep getting blown????

oh wow, yea thats a buss fuse..i thought thats what atc was...

yea, ill sell you the jl one, for real cheap, i'm using it on some 8g wire right now, i'm about to rebuild with new wire and fuse so i don't need it...

i had a kenwood, and the amp was on stereo, which i didn't know and neither did CC. they just told me my amp was bad. i was blowing fuses left n right. then i took the cover off my amp, cause i saw there was more buttons n crap in the manual. and noticed it said stereo and mono. i switched it to mono and never had any more problems.

it's amazing that you can learn more about car audio from reading the user manual than cc could ever help you with....

actually, it's tragic...i hope they had to pay for every fuse you blew...

okay, so i went to a stereo shop today and asked for a bigger fuse, 40amp fuse is the highest for BUSS/ATC . so they gave me a fuse holder to replace the older one and a 60amp fuse, i still got the 8gauge power and ground wires.

i was listening to the system and it cuts out at a certain volume and then it comes back. didnt blow a fuse.

so whats up with that?

thats the setting it has 0 gain/ bass boost. the rest of the stuff is close to the max level

yeah turn all the bass settings down on everything, headunit and amp, aswell as the loudness setting. turn the sensitivity knob (gain) to the number 2 or a little below it, your headunit probably puts out 2 or 1.5v if its a standard non high end headunit. that knob is to match your headunits voltage output so you can achieve maximum rms power with a clean signal (if im wrong someone correct me please). if your setting that at max, its clipping the signal hardcore and its not good for the amp.

everything seems fine but now my lights dimm allot, what kind of capacitor should i get for the 900rms 1800 watt kenwood amp??
