Who wants to help me get stupid loud?

I definitely get your point. I don't think 155db is quiet though lol. I'm not on your level yet man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I still got those virgin ears. I'll get there, but it will take time. Once 155db is no longer loud for me when giving demos then I'll add more power or more subs or get a camper shell and do bigger subs to get closer to 157 and then eventually maybe a 160 wayyy down the road once I have more knowledge.
The reason I don't want to wall off my Camry and try to make my daily driver a 155-157db is because I don't want to destroy the car when I'm demoing. After seeing how your guy's cars fall apart and break and **** when doing 155+db I definitely don't want that to happen to my camry. I want it to hold its resale value and stay in one piece. However, my truck is old and about burnt out so I don't care if I break it when demoing.
I've never metered so I can't say how loud it is objectively. I guess I'll find out Sunday.

Even with your current Camry build, good luck with resale value.

I'm not the type of person to trade in my vehicles and buy new ones on a regular basis. I don't plan on ever selling my truck, so I'll modify it however I want. I'm going to drive it until it dies, then buy a 2 door Blazer or a Suburban.

I haven't broken too much in my truck because of the stereo system

I did not cut anything in the car. It can easily be put back to stock //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif It would take me about 2 days to pull everything out and put the back seats back in. Even the painted accents are just plasti dip so they can be removed too.

I am someone who will be buying a new daily driver every couple years so that is why I don't want to do something permanent and damaging to my daily driver. You might change your mind when you get done with college and get a good job that pays $80-100k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I can't wait to see what your numbers are. You should be close to 160 I bet.

I forgot to tell you. A guy around here runs 4 Crossfire XSv2 (15s or 18s not sure) and I think 2 8ks in a 4th order and does a 159.9. He just broke his windshield last weekend at the MECA event in New Mexico. I haven't got to hear it yet but I'm hoping he will come to the big MECA show here in July so I can get a demo.

Here is a vid. I think you should be able to view it even without a Facebook:

Yeah that will be loud… haha. In the right box you should easily be able to break 160. Maybe even a 161 or 162 is within reach with the power you have.

love my banda 7k.. i wouldnt hesitate to run them, especially if you're going with good electrical and mounting on the outside of your vehicle. easily clamp 4-5k out of them and they're like $600 a piece!

Awesome thanks man!! I'm glad you like the new amp. I'll add it to the list //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I'm officially addicted after hearing a 155db Yukon tonight.
My budget will be $10k max. Less would be better but I know it costs to get loud. This will be spent over the next serval months so I can have all of the equipment and start building in October/November

This will be going in a blow through in my 1998 Toyota T100.

The height of the bed limits my sub size. It is only 17" high so I can only do 10s or 12s unless I just do single top and bottom layer in the box, then I could fit 15s.

I have about 26 internal cubes before displacement if all outer walls are doubled. That would take up the entire bed so I would have to fit the batteries in the cab. If we don't use the entire bed I may put the batteries behind the box.

I would like to do either a 4th or 6th order. I will be doing interchangeable ports. One for the lows, one to be musical, and one for spl if this is all possible.

Will probably do dual Alts and 10 or more g31 batteries

If you were doing this, what subs and amps would you buy? I'll figure out the mids and highs later as well as the box design. Just interested in equipment recommendations.

After the box, Alts, batteries, wiring, etc. I would guess I will have around $5k left over.

Thanks for your input //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
you don't need 10k. you don't need 5 k.

you need to build the box for the cabin and use the best subs for the cabin FR and box size.

6 cheap 12s walled off 4kw can get you into the mid 150s.

like 6 FI BL 12s.

this outlandish power crazy people go after to get loud is ridiculous. those inefficient woofers tat need 4-5kw to even get loud are foolish.

if your gonna wall it id do 3 15s or 6 12s something efficient. not those huge heavy coils with mms of 450 500 grams and a 3500 RMS power handling.

you have enough power on tap to break 150.

another good option would be 3 of the soundrive 15s ported with the 3500 they will easily get you into the 150s.

1kw or subs get another AQ run it at one ohm don't risk damaging your equipment for 200-300 more watts.

upgrade your alt and maybe two good batteries or one good battery and a really nice cap bank(alot lighter and does great for music and burps)

no needd to put 20 kw when you can do it with 8 and a well designed system.

if you gonna do a blow through do 6th order BP with the rear chamber the lower tune so the ports can be built into the side of the box and come directly into the cabin and the front chamber ported in the middle.

something similar will POUND

U have to run all crossfire and compete to get deals... I told roger I have sundown woofers now and he stop responding after that. Lol
i saw crossfire here at sbn, nothing but black people lol someone should tell them to diversify who they hire
