Who wants to help me get stupid loud?

put a camper shell and go 6th order 4 team AA 15s on two TFE 8.0 dual alts and a bank of batts, and a whole lot of bracing!! in box, and within the cabin. stripper pole and beef up your engine, well over 1000 pounds of audio in there

There are so many options with 10 grand.

Let's start with necessary electical. You'll spend probably 700-1000 on a 2nd alt and bracket. Another couple hundred on wiring and fuses. So let's call it 1200 so far. Plus your enclusre which unless you build it yourself could cost 500 or more. Let's call the enclosure 800 to make it an even 2 grand so far. If you wanna be budget friendly I'd say 6 SQ HDC3 12s on 2 SQ 4500s. That's what 3 grand? So 5 grand on your substage. Then you could pretty much pick up any head unit, processor, amps, and front stage you wanted. Even if you spent 2 grand you'd be 7 grand invested and have a serious ground pounder hitting 155 most likely

Thanks for all of the input guys!

I would prefer not to spend money on a camper shell or engine upgrades. Maybe later on but not for this first go around. This truck will literally only be driven about 10 times per year to go to the car show and back so I will only be putting money towards audio, electrical, materials, and bracing.

I think I am going to stick with probably 6 beefy 12s

So here is a sum up of where we are at so far.

Sub options:

* Soundqubed HDC3 or 4

* Fi SP4

* Crossfire XSv2

* Sundown Zv4

* Soundrive SDA3

What about DD or Incriminator Audio?

Amp options:

* 1 Ampere Audio TFE 8 or 9k

* 2 Ampere Audio 5k

* 3 Soundqubed 4500

* 2 Audio Legion 6.5k

* 1 Twisted Sounds 8.5k

How about the Banda Viking amps? I really like the looks of those but if they are no good then I'll stay away?

Thanks guys! I can't wait to get this going //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Soundrive should be something to consider so far the people who have them metered good. When I get mine I can give you my opinion on it. Also should consider looking at audio legion or twisted sounds amp too.

Any other good options? I think I have a nice list to look through now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Yeah, DD is great and I heard there will be v3 wardens out soon (shhhhhhh)

Twisted Sounds 8.5k's would get nasty.

Why dump this much money into something you won't drive??????

I say get one good platform daily-driver and put your money into that instead of splitting it between two vehicles...

This is going to be my demo truck. The truck is paid off, is a 1998, and has 200k miles on it. It just sits now that I have my camry. I figured why not do something with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My car is plenty loud for a daily driver. I don't want to be deaf in 10 years so 148-150db daily is plenty for me. I also don't want to destroy my car with bass or a wall to get it LOUD. I like that it is still in one piece. I don't care if I destroy my truck. I don't want to listen to 155db daily lol. I just want a vehicle that gets LOUD for the shows.

I don't understand your mindset, but to each their own I guess. It's your money

@Massive spl I'm used to my car already, but I don't want anything louder than that for daily. It is just my preference as everyone has one :)

If I get used to 155db demoing then I'll upgrade at that point in time. Need to start somewhere right?

Thanks @germanyt, I'll consider the HDC3 as well if I go with Soundqubed.

@adulbrich what don't you understand? That I want one vehicle to be decently loud for my daily and don't want to destroy it with bass because I like it in one piece and then another vehicle that will be louder for shows? Many people have 2 cars, one that is for competing/demos and one that is for daily. If 155db isn't loud enough in my truck then I will upgrade later on.

Y'all have to remember I am still a noob when it comes to this stuff. My T100 was my high school truck and was my first system and did maybe a 147-148. My camry is only my second system. I have to start somewhere and then work my way up as I get used to things.

Any other equipment ideas are welcome. I think I have a good list to go off of right now though :D

Thank you all again for you input and help!

What I don't understand is why you don't make a vehicle that can do 157 and just turn it down for normal driving, instead of having two quieter vehicles.

You have a volume knob, and it doesn't always have to be all the way up. Since I replaced the TFE with three 7k's, my daily listening is now two clicks below full tilt. After driving a while, yeah I turn it up a click or two (also depends on the song).

My point is, I don't see why you're worried about making your daily driver "too loud".

I definitely get your point. I don't think 155db is quiet though lol. I'm not on your level yet man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I still got those virgin ears. I'll get there, but it will take time. Once 155db is no longer loud for me when giving demos then I'll add more power or more subs or get a camper shell and do bigger subs to get closer to 157 and then eventually maybe a 160 wayyy down the road once I have more knowledge.

The reason I don't want to wall off my Camry and try to make my daily driver a 155-157db is because I don't want to destroy the car when I'm demoing. After seeing how your guy's cars fall apart and break and **** when doing 155+db I definitely don't want that to happen to my camry. I want it to hold its resale value and stay in one piece. However, my truck is old and about burnt out so I don't care if I break it when demoing.
