Which Sub?

Im looking for 2 10's with the best SQ possible. Up to around $200 each, here is what I found so far, which would be the best?

With JL 500/1 (~300 watts to each sub)

1. Adire Shiva

2. Image Dynamics IDQ

3. JL Audio 10W3v2

4. Infinity Perfect VQ

I could downgrade the Amp (quality wise):

Orion 8002 (800 watts @4ohms bridged)

1. Resonant Engineering SE (400 watts each)

2. Eclipse Aluminum (400 watts each)

Opinions?

Ok, do you already have the amp, or do you need to buy one of the above amps also?

Personally, I would go with the 8002 & Eclipse Alum combo.

The new Adire Koda 10, with an Xbl^2 motor, would certainly be at the top of my list if I were looking for SQ 10's.

I totally agree. The Adire would be the one I'd choose for a nice SQ street setup from your list. the other drivers are great, but dollar to SQ ratio, the Adire pulls ahead.

check out the oz audio matrix elite, but they need more than 250w each really...

If you're looking for 10's Shiva's are out cause their 12's. Still awesome though, I've got two and like em a lot

Oh yeah, I forgot the Shiva is only a 12 incher. Koda and Brahma are 10,12 and 15. I want 10's, and don't want a Koda (want to push more power than ~200 each, thats RE and W0 territory , and its more money as well).

I don't have the amp yet.

I know a kid who had 2 JL w3's in a sealed box w/ 200 RMs going to each. 2 10" version 2's if i might ad. Idk why, but these things got super loud with very little wattage. When the volume wasnt overpowering, they sounded great. Just a little story and my 2 cents.... i would still go with the adires over the JL's

Alums have been out for years and Eclipse has introduced many new lines since they first came out. I wouldn't expect them to fall too far in price anytime soon...........

ebay has some good deals on eclipse alluminum i think there is a ten for 150 plus shipping(buy it now), maybe its a 12 though. my advice would be to look on ebay great deals.

Is the Eclipse Alum going to be okay with only 400w RMS each? Ive herad that you can push a lot more into them. If it is, what size box is good for them (sealed). Thanks
