Which 12" sub would be better for SQL the new pheonix gold comp or a RE Audio SE. If neither what would be good? what would be a good amp to run with the choosen sub?

ive only heard the RE SE, but was fairly impressed for what it was. also see youre from NE too, its always nice to see ppl from here

yeah. never heard the PGs before. RE does sound good. not really what I would call SQL though. the SX is moreso SQL to me. regardless the se can be had for mad cheap on ebay. somewhere in the low $100 range.

SE for me. SX is more of a loud beater to me.

well if you upgrade your amp later on for more power you could with the Rsdc because that sub takes a clean 1200watts rms. I am not to sure on how much more the Se can take. But the Rsdc is a beast. It was tested against numerous subs and was better. And it was tested in the same car, same amp. Optimal enclosures for all the subs.

could you suggest a good amp for the rsdc? Northing kenwood please, In my other truck extended cab silverado I went with a Kenwood excelon deck and excelon amp 1000wrms I believe can't remember and 2 10" assassin's sounds good but would like more. The excelon amp lasted about 6 months and I hate the deck. The current truck I am trying to but a system in is a standard cab.

The SE is kind of an SQish sub that can also get hellaciously loud in the proper enclosure. (large ported)

Would a 12 be able to play all the bass notes clearly like dubble bumps or would a 10 be better. The reason I felt like going with a 12 is since I am going with a single sub and with my other truck with the assassin 10's I feel like it doesn't hit low notes very good? Also how would the rdsc compare to a L5 or L7?

Well the Rsdc will basically **** the L5 or L7 in Sq. And the Rsdc gets pretty loud, but it probably is not as loud as one of the kickers. But it sounds good while getting loud. Just decide on what to get with the space you have. The 12" will need a slightly bigger enclosure and the 10" uses a smaller enclosure.
