go to audiohole.com and check out the tcsound subs listed there...all under $150, excellent subs!!

also, check out sound splinter ..especially mike's premium series....$225 shipped for a 12". these are based on tcsounds tc9 sub...MONSTERS!!

i think these two options fit nicely into what you are after!!

u'll like it..errr..love it!!

i am amazed by mine every time i listen to it...i open the trunk, have some cd full of different music and jsut listen/watch the sub work....at times it scares me..it's clear and it's loud, esp considering the OEM radio...

i recommend everyone at least look at the site and email mike b4 buying any other sub. i think it's well worth the time!!

My wife has been buggin' me to get her a Brahma. It seems like these subs are very compairable...with the BL^2 and all. That's what she's after....good SQL set up....and for the price you can't go wrong.

i can't speak for re, or si or ed..but soundsplinters is made by a company that is well known for their subs, tcsounds. i'm sure at least one of those other brands are too...i believe i read somewhere (i could be wrong, feel free to correct me if i am, just hook me up with the link..hehe) that tcsounds is the OEM for eclipse..

pretty decent pedigree if ya ask me...

also, my rl-p is excellent so far...way better then any infinity and pretty much better then any id, save the idmax and spl....and that comes from experience, not the internet.

Well, where are you at in IL? Maybe we can hook up at a show sometime and you can check out the Brahma. I usually use my PBX for comp....I don't like to really "abuse" the Brahma that much. SPL wise the Brahma and the PBX are pretty much the same.

I plan on ordering a 12" RL-p next week. The guys at the shop want to hear it and possibly pick up a few. I plan on sticking about 600w to it for in a ported box for my wife's car....if she likes how it sounds. She loves the Brahma so I'm guessing she'll be pleased.

also, the 12" rl-p is what i have...getting 750 wrms in a 1.25ft^3(or so..i really ought to measure it again..hehe) and i love it..i can't wait to switch out the factory pos h/u and let the amp get some signal! i bet the whole package will come alive then!

tcsounds does make eclipse, as well as soundsplinter and a few others. more then just a "designer" sub, eh?
