alright.. i have $500 at the is time.. and i am looking at getting 2 12 inch subwoofers and an amp

my question is which sub to get.. i am looking for SPL with good SQ.. what do u recommend.. brands i am interested in are.. Infinity(kappa), Kicker, JL, and MTX

Thanks which would you recommend and which model?

the after day, i hooked up my friends system and he spend around $520 for 2 12" CVR kickers and a A8002T audiobahn amp. it sounded pretty loud. So i would go with kickers

to make a generalization...

infinity = SQ

kicker, MTX = SPL

JL = SQ/SQL

i think JL would be what youre lookign for but their stuff is too expensive for me.

you can get kickers to sound pretty decent, infinities can get decently loud, etc.

its all install.

there would be some good internet brands to suit your needs, how come no interest in those brands?

Infinity Kappa Perfects. As long as they get 200 to 300 RMS they will wang nice and tite for a long time, atgood volumes. 3 10" would hit very nicely.

Warning: Feed them 5-600 watts rms the cone folds over and the tinsel leads jerk out.... In other words, 1300 watts peak my ***...

i have wasted enough money on subs by trying to save money. 250-500 bones will get you sound quality, e.g., infinity, soundstream, or some not so sq, decent (but soon to blow) cvr's. but i learned the hard way that it takes (imo) $600-$700 to invest in a quality sub pair setup. this will get you two:

1)Brahma or RExxx

2)idmax

3)eclipse ti

4)jlw6

5)elemental designs

6)mtx 9500

(online of course)

but if $ is going towards an amp too, i would run w/ the jl's or infinity kappas for sq. you won't be disturbing the neighbors though.

this site leads to a pretty good description of some great subs (imo). i have never heard of the titanics but they have just recently been brought up on another forum.

2 Pioneer TS-W2000SPL's... I have mine underpowered in a box thats completely wrong for them and they wang already... cant wait to build a new box and feed it some real power this summer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif . Theyre Only $110 a piece on ikesound. I don't have too much experience with amps but the Hifonics line would probobally serve you well and keep you in your price range.

With $500, I personally would go with a single ported 15". Consider the Eclipse Ti, Adire Brahma, RE XXX/SX/SE, Orion H2, ect.

If you want to keep the price a little bit lower, definately look into Elemental Designs. I know a lot of people like to rag on them but their Kv.2 series has impressed me.
