Which sub is better

I am looking for a pretty basic system. I want it to have some bang but still have some pretty good sound quality. I really like the alpine series because they are affordable and sound pretty nice. I was wondering which you would thing is better two 12" type r subs or one 12" type x sub.

i would imagine the type X would sound better just because of the power u can put behind it. But i have 2 12" alpine type Rs and they sound nice, i am very pleased with them

Yeah I'd say the type X will sound better but the two type R's may be a little louder. Not by that much though.
