Which Sub is better

I currently have 2 10'' JLw0's and am looking into either a single 10'' KickersoloBaric L5 or maybe the JL w6...Which of these two would you recommend on getting? I also have been looking at the 12'' CVR Kicker? Would this sub perform as well as the other two? Thanks

Well I don't think there even in the same league. Depends on what your after spl or SQ. I don't have any experience with the cvr, but have had the w6 and it got pretty loud and the SQ was phenominal. The L7 will get louder then the w6, but with decreased SQ. Hope this helps

Get the JL w6 unless your into more SPL than get the Kicker

i say the w6. my buddy just bought a 12" w6 and i was suprised by the spl on them. he hit 142.9 on a termlab with a single 12 ported on a memphis mc1000D. the box was tuned up near 45 hz. but it still has good spl potential, and i'm sure in the right box will have good sq.

Personally I would get the L7. It will get plenty loud for you, and if installed properly it will sound great.

what amp do you have? what do you want sq/spl? is this gonna be in a ported or sealed box? install is everything. like i mentioned before you can make a w6 loud and you can make it louder then an L7.

if possible for money wise I am gonna try and use my exsisting amp which is a Kenwood KAC 7295, it says 600watt max on it but i have no idea what the RMS is on it....With this amp what do you think is the max RMS power I can get out of it...I cannot find its RMS rating anywhere on the net.

Also I have heard alot of things from ppl about ported boxes not sounding as good at a greater range of bass freq and that sealed is better??? What is the actual deal between the two

I am running a 12w6v2 off a kenwood kac-929, rated at 460 rms, but in reality it probably puts out a little less. I hooked up one of my friend's 12L7's and it acted like it wanted more than my amp can give it. Im sure my amp runs more power than your's, mine is 1000 max, yours is 600, so i would suggest a w6. I run mine in a sealed box, about 1.25^3 ft and it sounds very good and gets loud
