Just a couple of questions about RE8's

1st Question. . . what is the mounting depth on them?

Second Question. . . Where would you stage them at in a 99 Suburban.

So far my plans for the system consist of 1 18" RE SX, OZ Audio Mids and highs for front and rear doors. . . and 2 8's

I would like to add the 8's just to get a little extra bass towards the front of the cab, and perhaps capture some of the punchier bass tones that the 18 wont produce. .

At first, i was looking at the kick panels. . .but not alot of room there.

Second option is front doors. . Perhaps i can use the whole bottom 1/4 of the door an make a fiberglass pod for it.

Third option, is fiberglass enclosures under the 2nd row of passenger seats.

If you have any other ideas, or agree with any of the ones listed. . .please feel free to add your .02.

yeah the re8s are way to big to fit in doors or kicks, and you do know they're accuall sub woofers right

anyways if you'r tryin to get some small subs i'd go with the elemental designs 6 1/2s they're are beefy for a 6 1/2 and they wang

thanx for the advice. . . maybe ill just go with the XXX6.5's in the doors, and throw my other components in the kicks. . .thanx for your help

yea that'd sound good, or find a shallow mount 6 1/2 midbass driver to stick in the doors
