Which Sub HELP!

no budget istn but i would like to keep that amp since i have it
An RE SE would be a great choice...they are 600 rms but would work very well off that amp. Are u looking to get as loud as possible or just have decent, nice sounding bass?

Depending on what ur looking to do, id either go with a ported enclosure to get loud, or sealed for tighter bass, but not as loud or as low as ported would get u. But ported and tuned low would be my suggestion...it'll sound great and get nice and loud.

i would like loud how big of a box do you think i would need and how would you go about wiring speaker to amp just p-p and n-n or do i have to do anything since its only one sub

now on the RE why not got to the xxx is there a differance and do i need dvc or svc and how many ohms. sorry guys i am very new to this

first of all, try to use commas, and try to make a little more sense when u talk...its very hard to read ur posts.

Now what sub to choose, depends on how much power u want to run...... SE is 600rms, SX is 1200rms, XXX is 1600rms. I suggest the SE to u because the amp u have is perfect for it.

So for example say u got an RE SE, and u want loud....id make a ported enclosure. 2 cubes to 30-32hz would be a good mix of SQ and SPL. For the wiring....it is a dual 4 ohm woofer, which is what u want, so u can get the full 500rms at 2 ohms from the alpine amp. The wiring is simple, just like u said....positive to positve and negative to negative....

lol sorry about the typing. I appreciate all the help guys and trust what your saying. What is the dimensions of a 2 cube box? Is that 2 cubic feet. Where would i go and have a box made to a specific hz. I hope that box will be smaller than the one i use for my 2 10's. I believe its a cubic feet per speaker.

u can have someone design u box plans......jmac does a great job and only charges 8 dollars. u give him the dimensions of ur trunk and what not and he will design it, then u can just put it together. that is the best way to go about doing this. And yes 2 cubes ported means 2 cubic ft of internal volume after all displacnments. displacements would be the port...wood thickness, woofer, any bracing. 2 cubes ported will be a good bit larger than 2 cubes sealed.

What i was doing is trying to save space is there anyway possible to keep the sound of what you guys are telling me to get in a small package?

****ing go with a ****ing Re SE 12". Those are the shit... You would have to be one ****in stupid *** **** to not ****ing go with the ****in Re 12" SE. Dont be a punk *** ****ing little *** *****. Get the RE SE 12"! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blow_up.gif.f2a780e8b12ae09e264cb01720b8dca2.gif

does any box work or do i need it tuned to a certain hz with a sealed box
well u just want the right internal volume...which is 1 cube. so no not any box will work...and u dont want pre-fab, as many of the crappy ones are made out of particle board. Make ur own box out of 3/4" MDF. http://www.bcae1.com/ go there and go to #110 (on the list on the right). it has a enclosure calculator.

14" high 16" wide 12" deep with 3/4" wood thickness will give u 1.101 ft^3, so factor in displacement of the woofer and that would put u right around 1 cube. doesnt hurt to go a little bit bigger.
