in addition, ss3079 has plenty of camaro's and I believe still has a gaggle of L5s

better extension from the two L5s? hows that? modeling in win isd (YES i know its not accurate but it gives a rough estimate) shows the single L7 having a TON of extension over the L5s....

this is why i was gonna go with an L7 over two L5 12s for my setup.. i would guess the SPL would lose a little but it seemed to me the L7 would have crazy low end.

help me out cause im debating between these subs too.

thanks for the input. I think im gonna get the 2 12", but does anyone have any specs on a box for them. Im buildin my own, but this boxs seems its gonna be more complicated.

also im gonna power them with a memphis 1000 watt amp

If I go sealed will it be worth the gain in sound quality.

And Bigbassman, for the box do i run it even with the top of the seat and run it striaght back, or do I follow that angle that goes up at like 45 degrees.

dont seal. if its SQL youre after then you might want to change your driver choices. my friend has 2 12 L5s ported and they sound good. bass still seems pretty tight and clear. (more so than i expected thats for sure). he has the same subs sealed for a while and they really didnt sound much better (except for the extension).

what freq are your porting to?

you're wasting your time with ISD, its a basic freebie lumping program that holds no value whatsoever for anything other than a crude port length calculator..
