Which "should" hit harder

Set up goin in my 95 camaro z28. A single 15" L7 or 2 12" L5 with 1200 watts in an optimal box for both.

Cool. Single 15 would be my choice. Cancellation sucks...Port the box, tune that sucka low and send it some serious juice and u will be happy.

I would pick the 2 L5 12's, that is assuming of course that there is room to port them. If not, then definently the 15" L7.

you'll want to go the 2 12 route in an F body.... much better for the space, and area given in the back of one..

its really hard to say. their is + and - about both like 15 their is only one but 2 (12s) can cancel eachother out. so its all about the box and the install.

i would pick 2 (12s) because the cone area it big i dont like the way it sounds.

I would say one 15 would hit harder and deeper. Key large ported box tuned low with a lot of power. I personalley like the way a 15 sounds it gives you that deeper more thunderus bass. JMOP

how are you going to set the box in there? facing up?

i'm wanting to upgrade my kicker cvr10 to a solobaric, and port it. but space is limited in these cars.

guys.... I know it seems like a 15 is the automatic choice always.... but bigger isn't always better..

take it from somebody with over 100 hours of testing experience with every F body produced..

2 12's will work better in that vehicle....

they'll be louder, they'll have more extension, and better overall response..

build the box in the rear cavity, level with / near the top of the seat, extended to the back, you'll have around 4.5 cuft of vb, subs and port firing upwards..

also keep in mind that Tracy (polecat), who works at Stillwater designs (Kicker), affirmed what I've stated..
