Which one sub setup for....?

This is not for me, but I need a good loud ported one sub setup that will out do 2 of those black Sony 12's sealed. It will be pushed by a BXi1208d, and $140.00 is the sub budget. The car is a Lexus ES300. These fit my budget. I kinda want it to at least sound like 2 12's.

SWR-1222d

Cvx 12

Kicker S12L5d4

Pioneer ts-w3001d2

Which one should I do and why? I don't really want to do 2 Cvr, 2 Pioneer ts-w1207, or 2 Type S unless you think they'll outdo one stronger sub? I can't find anymore info on these, but Ebay has 2 Cadence ZXSW12-4 for $140. They look pretty good on paper. Does anyone know about these Cadence?

remember, they are gonna have double the cone area than you so 1 sub alone will have a mighty task in beating out your friend even if they are sonys. I'd say focus more on the box, preferably a ported one

I'm not trying to beat out anyone for Spl, just trying to replace the Sonys. They sounded bad sealed and one has a cracked cone. I refuse to port the Sonys. This person is not a basshead and pretty easy to please when it comes to bass. The Sony's are actually the red ones, but most people say the black ones are a lot better. Is this true?

I posted all that and he says I'm very vague? People get more replies asking what to get so they can be heard from 2 blocks. It's not my setup so I'm not being picky about what to get. I'm not a newb, I'll figure it out. Thanks to the others that tried to help!

i have a single 12" type r in a ported box and it is loud. flexes my roof, windows, rear view mirror shakes like crazy....my bro and sis even said the windows of my house were rattling when im sitting out in the driveway listening to music

hell yess 12" type r in a ported box is the way to go....

ive got one myself in a prefab mtx thunder box... its pretty dang loud in my altima but a custom ported box would be way better tooo......

33/50 volume i hit 136's.... my gain is set so my sub/amp peaks out around 45/50 volume tho...

Go alpine type r

Yes, this is a very vague query.

"This is not for me, but I need a good loud ported one sub setup that will out do 2 of those black Sony 12's sealed."

What does out do even mean?

"The Sony's are actually the red ones, but most people say the black ones are a lot better. Is this true?"

What does better mean?

WHAT DO YOU WANT THE SUBS TO DO?!@$

Out do and better are not very good descriptions of qualities you want in a sub, or subs... But who knows if you want 2 subs or one...

You say you only want one, but if 2 is going to be better then you want that...

"I don't really want to do 2 Cvr, 2 Pioneer ts-w1207, or 2 Type S unless you think they'll outdo one stronger sub?"

Well, two shitty subs are probably going to be louder than 1 decent one, but we still haven't figured out if you want spl, sq, or a mix of both.

Honestly, you sound like you want a good setup while only spending 140$, and you don't mention whether it can be used. You aren't going to get anything special for that kind of money. You could probably get a single RE SE, but who knows if they will "out do" the sonys.

You will be lucky to get one type r 12 new for that much. I hope that helps you figure how to "out do" the other system.

Because when people say they want to be heard two blocks away we can at least ask them how much they have to spend, and then can lead them in the right direction. With all your un-noobness you sure sound pretty noobish.

I already said how much I had to spend. I guess you have selective reading going on there. I've heard every sub I listed, just not in single setups. I also ran Se's in the past. I did hear one 12L5 before, but the guy was scared to crank it so I really didn't know what it was capable of. I also already looked up the prices of all the subs and know exactly what they cost. Like I said before I just want something better than the Sonys. It doesn't make sense to try to port them when one has a cracked cone. I swear it's one of the most quiet sealed setups I've ever heard in my life. I knew a guy running 3 Sony 12's sealed in a Tahoe and it sucked so bad. I'm not looking for a mix of anything, just something that will sound like an upgrade over the Sony's which won't be hard to do. Their system will never sound that great running a Sony Hu. All of the so called 5 volt outs sound weak as can be. It sounds like you have all the answers, so you win Frog. Lol!!!

Thanks for the other responses. I'll probably try one Type R on 1000 rms. This person kinda needs a little of their trunk space so it's either one that performs well in small ported or two sealed 12's?
