Which One Should I Get ?

I am putting 2 JL Audio 10W3v3-4 and was wondering what amp I should get to go along with it.. I am thinking of either 1 JL Audio Slash v2 500/1v2 or going with 2 JL Audio J2 250.1. The system is going to be in a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab under the back seat..

Any help is and will be greatly appreciated.

Now that I think about it I do also have a MTX 600XD amp that was in my avenger powering 2 12 inch jackhammers.. I could also save some money and just use that amp if it would work..

Do your subs have a single or dual 4ohm voice coils?

Heck, I paid almost $3 per watt when I bought a Zapco Z220 back in the early 90's.

And that was on closeout.

well the 500/1 is 500watts and the j2 250's are 250watts so it is the same power output. The j2's are class a/b however so they will be much less efficient, as well as needing more power/ground wire and more rca's. Unless the J2s are much cheaper i would get the 500/1 (if those are the only options you are looking at). If you want a suggestion of other amps then let us know.

i got the same setup in my explorer and i heard the 500/1 is more then enough to power them, some ppl use the 250/1 cant beat JLs amps to be honest
