Well, I posted a thread here http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=188643 but it didn't get much action at all.

So, I'll try again and simplify this time.

I'm looking for one 15" SQL sub. It will be powered by a BXI2006D and it will more than likely be SEALED. It'll be in a Tahoe. I'm looking for 70/30 SPL/SQ. I'm looking at: Adire Brahma, RE XXX, SI Mag, SS RL-S, AA Avalanche (that 15" in the FS forum is looking better and better). Which one would you go with for my application?

that guys wanting a battery for that sub so go to auto zone, buy him a optima battery for 175 and get his 225+shipping sub:)

The only problem I'd have is that sub is dual 2 ohm VC. I could only wire it to 1 ohm or 4 ohm. Wired to 1 ohm on a BXI2006D would probably smoke the sub. Wiring a class D amp to 4 ohms just seems a waste.

The more and more I think about it, the more and more I want an SI Mag. I think I'm looking for a Mag. Pretty much everyone either recommends the Mag or recommends the "Mag or _____fill in the blank." The Mag is the one constant. Thanks guys!

If you wanna get serious about car audio, you better learn to build your own boxes! No better time than the present! It's just not as satisfying when you don't do it all yourself, IMO. Part of the joy of car audio for me is hearing the results of MY work. But, that's just me.
