Which is the harder hitting sub?

Phoenix Gold RSDC or Alpine Type-R-1242d?

Both are 12" and 600 watts RMS. Both look good, but i was wondering which hits harder but still sounds good. I have heard Alpine hits alright, but sounds really good.

I care about sound quality, but i am looking for one that will hit really hard. I am going to put 2 of either in a ported box in an Explorer. I have a hifonics bxi1206 amp. 1200 watts at 1ohm. Will the amp be good for either set of subs?
