Which crossover - Clarion MCD360 or Memphis 16-X03

I can get either one for about the same price so I am wondering if anyone has experience with either or both and what do you think would be better for an active 2 or 3 way setup?

What else will be in the system? You can already do an "active" 2-way system with a simple high pass filter most head units have built in.

If you want to run mids and tweeters with their own amplifier channels you need to have both a high pass filter and a low pass filter on the mid channels.

Well I am going to run full 3 way active and seems like the Clarion does not have bandpass so leaning towards the Memphis and read alot of good things about that one too.

My crossfire cfx23 has bandpass:fro:

You can use a combination of amp and crossover settings to bandpass. Hpf on one, lpf on the other...

You can throw your hu crossovers in the mix too you get the xover points you need.

Then get a head unit with active crossovers so you don't need an additional crossover. Either way you have some things to learn and you might as well do the crossovers in one place.

I currently have a Pioneer AVIC-Z140BT. It has a built in 2 way crossover that is rather limited. I was able to achieve much better frequency control with the seperate 3 way crossover and a cleaner overall output (3 way active).
