Which 10" Sub to buy?

I have 500w RMS @ 2 and will have about $200 to spend. The sub willbe inverted inbetween the seats on a show truck so I care about the looks of the rear of the sub. I'm a JL guy so I am of course looking at a 10W3V3, but am thinking of broadening my search. What all is out there? I want decent sq, but it needs to get loud as well.

I have a 10w3v2 that I'm very happy with. But I'd be shocked if it could handle 500 watts for more than a few minutes. (I wouldn't expect the v3's to fair much better)

Even if/when I get around to having my 10w6v2 rebuilt, I don't intend to hit it with 500 watts unless I'm able to use my friend's o-scope to verify that my 500/1 is sending a nice, pretty, unclipped, clean signal to it.

It's a JL amp and I aldp have a amp gain knob on the dash so I don't plan on it either. If I can get one that gets loud at 300 even I'd be happy. My dream sub us a W6v2, but I cdnt afford one and if I buy one used the rear of it needs to be mint.

My software (bass box) shows the w3v2 @ 300w = w3v3 @400 watts =(almost) w6v2 @500 watts.

The w6v2 extends a little lower than the either of the w3's though.

What about the Powerbass 2XL or XL? I don't really know their subs at all. I wouldn't mind the big orange X in the cone because it would be inverted. Also I have a MMats 2.0 sub, if I got a 2.5 would I notice a big difference? 500 MAX to either one.

Update!

I blew my 10w3v2 w/2 bridged channels from my old ZX460 (Rated @ 180w total for the sub, but probably a tad over 200 watts) Blown coil(s)

No signs of distress before or after the failure. It was jamming well at about 2/3 of the maximum volume I run for 2 "normal" songs and most of a rather harsh (intentional distortion produced into the track) dubstep track.

I was worried about the foam surround and the coils were the link to break. (the spider, tinsel wire, and foam surround look practically new)

I have two 12w3v3 sitting under my work bench and have examined them closely. The seem to have a nicer system of tinsel wire strain relief, and cone connection method, but no other obvious power-handling upgrades.

Be vary careful with the power you send to your v3 if you get one.
