Which 10" sub - Koda or IDQ v.2 ??

I would like some ones opinion on which of these 2 subs would produce the tightest most impressive SQ with the same 500 watt Tru amp powering them? I only have room for one so I'm out for the best SQ. Price is no object. Thanks

Id go with the Koda 10 since i like Adire Audio

I have never used the Koda. I have used the IDQ's (nice drivers). From what Ive heard, Id try out the Koda 10 personally.

I would opt for the Koda, although I've yet to hear the 10" (or 12 for that matter). XBL^2 is enough for me to recommend it. Flatter, more linear, more displacement. From a parameter viewpoint it's the superior driver.

Doesn't count much eh? Mass blind following of a brand eh? I take offense to those comments. Ive used one of the products, and from the reviews I -personally- would try out the new Koda10 over the IDQ. If you only expect people who have used both the IDQ and the Koda to answer, he'll most likely have zero answers. And if you expect everyone to only answer they'd use a product they have used before rather than try out a new one, we'd all still be running old RF amps and JL subs. At least I explained my experience, and why I picked which I did. I even explained that's what I would do -personally-, still not enough to escape your amazing sarcasm eh? My decision was based on experience and what Ive found through my own research. No need for the hostility mate. Comments were not all directed at you in particular. It'd be rather short sighted to say that a large portion of the board doesn't just blindly follow brands. Also, your recommending something that you've never heard before - perhaps you can see where skepticism would come in. Also, look at some of the other posts to this thread...

I have nothing against adire, nor any other brand (ok, a slight bias against jl perhaps). I just don't like to see people giving opinions based on brand only. And again, I think you'd be hard pressed to disagree about this - a majority of the people here stick with one brand because it's "their brand".

It would be shortsighted to say alot of the board doesn't follow brands blindly. But you didn't quote alot of the board, you quoted me, so yes your comments were directed towards me. Be skeptical of my post all you want, it has no mis-truths, no attempt to deceive anyone. I layed out my experience and why I chose what I did. I did not say Id go with the Koda due to brand loyalty, I do not own one Adire product, nor do I have any 'loyalty' to them personally. Dont like my choice? Fine, but don't tell me Im following brands blindly over it.

Frankly, so long as someone says "Id go with the Koda 10 since i like Adire Audio", what's the problem? Did that person attempt to deceive us or lie in any way? The guy likes Adire. Please dont try to tell me/us you have never bought a piece of equipment without thouroughly testing it personally yourself. Again, if nobody ever tried anything new, even based on their research of the product, we'd all still be using equipment from a decade ago.

i can also vouch for the JL W3v2 not being that good for the

money...

btw... i bought my RE SE's based on blind opinions and

trust in people on this board... and i couldnt be happier...
