Hook the sub up directly to the alternator and the lights won't dim.

make sure you run the big three like this

alty to ground on battery - pos battery to chassis and then as buck said another wire from alty to sub

Hard to say with the amount of information you've given us.

List your:

-Rating on current alt.

-# of batteries

- # of amps and amount of power being driven by amps

-Anything else that may induce strain on your cars electrical

If all you have is a bone stock electrical and your having dimming issues, look into the big 3 (wiring upgrade) and maybe even a new battery upfront.

1. Provide more information. You're asking too vague a question like "why are my tires low" or "why is my idle rough". Provide details! and
