battery wire and other things

2001 pontiac Grand Prix

i've got 2 Rockford p3d212 (wired at 2 ohm) powered by an alpine MRP-M1000(2ohm 1000rms)

and

2 MTX road Thunders 12in (4 ohm) powered by a profile AP-1000(one channel 250 rms?)

from my battery i have a 4 AWG wire running from my battery to a D block where it just goes into more 4 awg (cheaper wire with less thread count) since thats what i had. main power cable used a 60A fuse untill i hooked up both subs and amps. now it broke. wondering what size to upgrade to.

of course as everyone complains my lights dim. im doing B3 soon and gonna run a 1/0 AWG wire instead of the 4 to my amps. and 1/0 my B3.

but ive been having problems starting my car (needed jumped almost everytime after running subs) and from what im told by the free battery check at advanced auto parts my battery will no longer hold a significant charge and i need a new battery. since its different for most cars and i couldn't get any straight answers out of any other posts please give me some ideas to improve/upgrade.

i guess im in need of a battery too. so suggestions would be great!

Upgrade to an ANL Fuse Block..with a 150-200 amp ANL fuse to be safe.

Theirs a Knuconceptz 1/0 fuse block in classifieds with a 150 amp fuse I believe...

You need to do the Big 3 and definitely add a battery...maybe a Kinetik, or a DEKA or a Powermaster..

And if I'm right, your running 2 different pairs of subs, with 2 different amplifiers..why?

ok anl fuse ill get that. and im not adding a battery im replacing one. i can talk subs and amps a bit but i don't know a thing about batteries. you gave me a name brand but i don't know what kind to get.

and 4 subs 2 amps. whats wrong?

bump for buying a battery within the next two hours because my first one is completely dead!!!! gonna be looking at wal mart sams club auto zone advanced auto parts napa etc. Indianapolis area. any ideas>!!!>!>
