Noob to this site, came here for answers from people who know there sh** (unlike my actual friends)

I just got a new car 08' Audi A4 and I'm on a budget so I want to try and keep my amp from my old car (kenwood kac-7205 1000w) if possible to power what Im looking for.

I want just a single 12 or 13",

Something under 275$

Mostly listen to rap, occasional house or pop as well.

Been looking at Jl w3 but not sure exactly which model to get that will fit my amp best. I like also the SA-12 V.3 as well and heard great things. Open to any suggestions. Looking mostly for a quality, crisp, clean bass, doesn't have to be terribly loud just want to be able to thump! I always get a professional install so not worried about the wiring or tuning amp and all those other specs etc. Thanks guys

Your amp only does 500w bridged at 4 ohms

Id say look into another amp. Also to get the most out of your subwoofer youll need a custom enclosure for it. Do you have a budget for that also or is $275 all you got?

What amps would you suggest for the SA? I'm thinking spending no more than 180$ on one if absolutely necessary. Looking at getting a box through the member on here Cscstang Customs. 275 is my sub budget.

Ok cool i was going to mention him but seems like you got him already, sweet. If you want to keep your amp id look into a different sub like the sundown ev series or soundubed hds200 series. Although your amp doesnt have An adjustable subsonic filter its not as adequate for a ported box. It still can work but you can runninto problems if you try playing really low notes. Post a WTB amp thread someone will have something in the 1000w rms range for around that proce

You could run the sundown sd-2 12 rated at 500 watts rms to save some room and it still hit good and keep some trunk space too... Your amp should work decent on it so you could save some money until you feel like upgrading.. Just a thought...

EDIT:deleted first link I sent, hows this one http://www.amazon.com/Hifonics-BRX1100-1D-Vehicle-Subwoofer-Amplifier/dp/B00BHSTTLU/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
I'm definitely keeping the one you sent in mind.
it would work, with hifonics the quality increases from Brx, BRZ, to BE the elite i sent you being top of the line. i run a brz1200.1 at 2ohms on a rockford hx2 and it bumps for what it is. get the one you mentiond if you'd like just set the gain to around 900w which is what i would trust it to do clean
