The surround looks in bad shape in the second photo when I enlarged it.

Torn on the bottom edge around the mounting holes, and it has what looks like a crack in the actual surround near the top of that photo.

If its damaged could it be reconed?

that is a very old school orion xtr woofer it looks like.we are talking early 90's.i remeber those , the xtr2's and xtr3's

thats not the surround thats torn that that crappy paper gasket that was common on most subs back in the day.the old JL's had it too.
