What should i set the crossover to?

I have a kicker l5 12" and im gonna run it @ 2ohms to my Profile CL600M @ 450 watts. Im building a box tuned to 35hz. I know the max Hz that a L5 can play is 100hz.. so i was wondering.. what should i set the crossover on the amp to? i

it depends on if you like really low bass or midrange bass, i personally like really really low bass so i always set mine all the way down, peace

set your low pass at 100. It can damage the sub if you put it above 100. I mean, theres some le-way there but its best to keep it at 100. You didn't say if it was ported or not, so, if its sealed I would set the the high pass at 10 hz cause i think thats how low it goes, but that if you have a sealed box. And if its ported put ur sub sonic filter at 35 hz and your set.

The profile cl600m only seems to have 2 options for subsonic filter: 20hz and 50 hz. The box is custom built exactly to kicker specifications for vented box. Also, when im adjusting the gain, should my alpine head unit bass level be at 0? 15? somehwere in between?

Don't use the bass boost and place the subsonic at 20hz and the crossover at 80hz. That's what I do. Should be nice and clean

When you say bass boost are you talking about the 0-18db boost on the amp of the 1-15 setting on the alpine head unit? sorry i just wanna make sure i get this right.

He's talking about the boost on the amp. Turn it off.

If he doesn't want to go above 100hz then he wouldn't want to set it at 100hz. Remember that if you set it at 100 and you only have a 12db/oct slope you'll be getting frequencies well above 100 which is why Van Man recommended 80 hz. Not trying to dis you or anything but just thought you might want to know in case you didn't know already.
