What should I get?

I'm planning on getting an all Alpine sound system in the next 3 months and was wondering what kinda subs I should get. I'm getting 2 SWR-1241D but I don't know if I should get this sub in 2 ohm or 4 ohm. Also each sub will be connected to a MRD-M501. I'm need to this stuff.

u would want teh dual 4 ohm versions. why r u getting an all alpine system?

jus wondering cus some of teh equipment is a lil pricey

Thanks for the reply. The reason why I'm going all Alpine cause the only brand names that we get in my town are Sony, Pioneer, Rockford *only their amps tho*, and Alpine. If you are wondering this is my setup, CDA-9835 for the headunit, SPR-176A for the front speakers, SPR-694A for the back speakers, 2 MRD-M501 *one for each sub*, and decided to get 2 12in SWR-1241D. This is all going in my 2003 Dodge SX 2.0 R/T.

ohhh i see. well u coudl jus get one of teh amps to run both of the subs jus wire ti in series and it should work out fine. how come u jus ddint check aorudn the net u can find some good stuff for mighty cheap. but either way nice setup the only thing id change are your front speaker drop some comp in there and amp them u will b much happier and if moeny an issue dont get the rear fill most people r more than satisfied with there comps amped

Here I got some really good deals cause my friend works at the place where i'm going to get my sound system from. I'm from Canada, so the prices that i'll be saying will be in Canadian, for my front speakers i'm getting those for $249.99 *reg $399.99*, my back speakers are $229.99 *reg $349.99*, for each sub is $218.88 *reg $349.99*, for each amp $549.99 *reg $649.99*, and head unit $499.99 *reg $599.99*. So I can't really beat those deals. And these are the comp Alpine speakers. You mean comp as in component right?
