I was quoted $280 for a new D2 2512 from DD shipped.

The D2 coil was about $25 extra and shipping was $20.

You should be able to find very nice, mint used for $250 and less for a "stock" 2512.

The shocker mentioned above will definitely out preform the 2512. I dont know about the 9500, imo comparing it to

a 3500 is more like it.

As far as the 2512's power handling, I had a 2510 running on 1500rms daily for over a year. The guy I sold it to is

still enjoying it to this day along with the same amp.

But shop around for sure, I just bought a bnitb 2512 with the CF cap shipped for less than any of quotes by far

Called Kyle at dd today and my 2510s are gonna run me 600 a piece with the full carbon cone, dust cap, and supercharged upgrades. Which is Steep but compare it to some mainstream subs like the w7 or t2 it blows them out of the water as far as sound and looks in my opinion at least and If I werent building a show car I wouldn't be paying 600 a sub but asthetics are important for me. I only paid 230 for my regular 2510 no options or upgrades and i love it. I'd put it up against anything mainstream. It's just not an spl sub kinda a SQL sub

Yea shock the **** out of me how it was more than double the ordinary subs price but hey try finding two mint subs with these options you just can't because they haven't been built yet with the new supercharged upgrade. And since mine are mostly for show I want something really nice looking not some boring paper plastic metal cone/dustcap. Black carbon cone/dustcap with white dd in the middle is just **** nice

I would have just had someone build me a sub with the honey comb CF looking cone that TC used on their OEM10 subs...those looks damn nice.

Yea I guess I'm just a dd nuthugger. I've been stuck on there equipment for a while and sending them 2700 for two amps and two subs is going to hurt but it'll look nice and sound great in the end. And I really don t have crap for bills so I can afford to make stupid choices from time to time. and this way I do t have to trust one person in building a sub I'll have a whole company backing their product. Not that they don't have some extremely talented builder on here this is just easier for me since I wouldn't know what to get in a custom sub
