Well new car new system...500 rms cant decide on sub :S

Wanting to go for more of a SQ set up this time around. Will be going in a trunk of a 2009 Cobalt. Going for sealed sub(s). Thinking about doing a single 15 or 18...but cant really think of any from the top of my head that would do good sealed. I mostly listen to rock+metal with the occasional Rap+R&B so sealed would do me better IMO.

Wanting to do 500 rms...havent completely decided on the amp just yet. Wanting to keep the sub under $200...less cost the better though. Thought about doing 2 12s off of 1k watts...but decided I dont wanna spend $400 on a alt again lol...so gonna try to get away with doing a simple battery upgrade up front+the big 3...gonna try to do a 500 watt sub with around 300 watts to comps. Car should be able to handle it fine...if it cant then I guess ill drop like $200 in a alt that is a slight upgrade from the factory.

But yea...suggestions?

you can run 1500rms with a big 3 update and a extra battery.

ska...lulz mach 5 ixl 15 is a good choice. they like sealed and they get low and have good sq.i think there 15 is around 180-200. There site is down at the moment though
