What should I do? Help please.

So I went to a very good custom sound shop that did my previous cars install. I then went to have my side panel subs installed in my gto. They were idq 10v2s running off a alpine mrp m650 amp. The shop owner called to tell me the subs sound good, he later called me and said the surround on one sub was damaged. They were fine when I brought them there. He said he will repair it free of charge. I picked up my car and on the way home the sub started buzzing until it finally was blown. It was most likely hitting the side panel previously and that's what damaged it. A few moments after the second sub stopped working. The first sub that blew was rattling and is def ruined. The shop doesn't know how this happened and is trying to say I brought them there damaged. What should I do?

their receipts will say they installed everything to their satisfaction. If it happened THAT quick, you'll get a repair from the shop, at least you should. Their crappy install hurt the equipment.

fight it. they said it was working good at first so obviously they were not broken. every shop will try to say that at 1st.

No I didn't receive that, I am now out two nice subs now. I don't know what to do, should I contact the bbb if they do not help?

They mentioned they might have a few subs lying around I can have. Most likely 10w0's but my idq 10v2s are a much nicer sub. This is bs.

dont settle for any 10W0's. those dont make up for what THEY broke. demand they pay for recones.

no they want you to give in and take that deal. either get your money back or or a equal or better sub.

Thanks for the tips, I'm going to go in there friday and talk to them. There is no way I'm taking the 10w0's when I had IDQs. If they don't work with me I'm contacting the BBB and then we will see what happens. I would file a chargeback but I used debit. Any ideas what to do to get bank to refund?

personally, I'd want my subs replaced, but if they're not willing to do that, then ask for refund.
