ok first off heres my sub setup

92 civic cx stock electrical

amp-p1000bd

sub- 1 12" L7

running 4 gauge wiring

well i have had this setup for a pretty long time now

but all of a sudden my battery keeps going out I had a cap on it im not sure how many farads but it was a digital lanzar one with that my lights dim somewhat and i thought it was b.c it was going from 4 guage power to like 8 gauge to my amp so i took off my cap thinking it would solve the problem but no it made it even worst!

so idk what to do i dont want to do the BIG 3 until i swap the motor out in my car. I let it charge i drive around for awhile but it still doesnt help when i let my car sit for 4 hours + the battery is always dead

help me out what should i do?

Car would not run with a bad alt... If your battery is dead and you jump it to make it run your alt is keeping your engine running... So its your battery its bad... not holding a charge. Go to a autoparts store like autozone or kregen or whatever though and have them test your whole car with that big machine.. Its free wont hurt

By jumping that battery all the time and putting all that work on the alt to charge the battery up in the long run will kill your alty.....Same thing happened to my S10 back when it had a POS battery.

jump it, drive to autozone (or done jump it and have someone drive you with the battery), remove the battery, and ask the guys there to do a battery load test.

im betting $20 it will fail....

Your car can run with an alternator that is going bad and has a reduced output - enough to run the car but not enough left over to charge the battery. The alternator can't be ruled out.

yes your car can run with a faulty alty( if your talking about a lose connection in the alty) but that wont cause it to not ****ing start off the jump, not at all. you are not thinking about the components of the car incorrectly. it is def the battery.
