IF i am trying to get a very loud system especially hard hitting bass and i currently have an "OK" system but my lights are dimming and im already loosing volts, and power what should i do? I have a 3.5 cap, should i move to another battery? Any suggestions im trying to get a serious system!!

loose the cap, do the big 3 upgrade and look into a larger alt and a 2nd battery never hurts. iam running a fusion nv-am25001, and a fosgate 500x bridged to 2 ch on a stock 100a alt, redtop up front and a stinger spv35 in the rear and have the big 3 done. when the truck is warm, the idle voltage is around 13.9v and never drops below 12.7 at extream high volume levels.

how much power do you have(rms) and what type of car/truck do you have?

I have a chrysler cirrus, MY system is DA, everyone sais there watts are overated though and they dont really put out as much as they say? My subs are each rated at 1500 rms and my amp is rated at 2400 rms x1 so 1200x2. I also have a 6 channel amp for my mids i think 80x6. BUt im getting new stuff soon trying to get louder.

Your alternator should be fine if you hook up just one more batt. I am not to familar with DA so I am not sure if they are over rated or not.
