What should be louder?

2x Kicker 12" SVC 2-Ohm CompVT(Shallow Mount)

2.36^3 Sealed Truck Enclosure

Hifonics TXi 1008D(Feeding 500w RMS per sub)

Amplifier Settings

(Lo-Pass Crossover - 70hz, Bass EQ - 5db, Level - 0.2v, Remote Bass Boost - Mass)

Head Unit Settings

(Bass EQ - 8db, Middle EQ - 8db, Treble EQ - 8db, Subwoofer - 0)

vs.

2x Kicker 12" DVC 4-Ohm(Wired to 2-Ohm) CompVR

2.5^3 Sealed Hatchback Enclosure

Sony Xplode 1200(250w RMS per sub)

Amplifier Settings

(All gains, boosts are maxed)

Head Unit Settings

(All Bass-related EQ settings are maxed)

Above is my setup, below is a setup of my friend.

As much as I hate using bass boost or bass EQ, it seems to be the only way to really compete with the above system.

otherwise... no way your friend is running a pair of dvc subs @2 ohms if they are dual 4's....
